So you think your Merc's are fast....?

I just saw a middle aged Woman driving around the village in her Brabus SL.

I'll ask and see if I can borrow it, though She might be a bit frightened I might take it over 70mph...

Allay her fears by taking the front regi plate off.

If you get caught by a traffic car, you have not gone fast enough, if you go fast enough, they won't see your rear regi plate.

If you feel a bit of a wus, you can take the back one off too:ban:

It seems there is some life in the BMW boys at last, a list has started....

Lets get some decent numbers from you guys, we need 20 from each forum. If any of you use another Merc forum and want to invite some others on your forums behalf then feel free - there's nothing wrong with ringers in this game, as long as they've got the same badge.... :D

Standard C63 was one of the slowest cars there earlier this year, some crazy stuff. The C63 managed about 176mph last time but doesn't feel very stable above 165.

I hear our very own Nudenut is having a twin-turbo conversion on his Audi R8 V10 - he's on our side :)

S

176mph from a 500/510bhp c63?
i think mine (457bhp) could be around 165-170
no good for this though....tut second division  oh the shame..

It would be interesting to see what a S63L could attain.

The long wheelbase should make it a very good proposition for a high speed.

I would like to see a Black Series S Class...:bannana:

Straight lines and top speeds are for girls.. Proper lap times round a proper circuit is much more fun... Then all your 4wd Audi tanks will get destroyed.... By a Skoda.

There was an S65 earlier last year which hit 181, you have to remember you only get 1.7-1.8 miles before the braking point.

Like Le Mans you mean? ;)

Le Mans... Where the rules are changed to keep the only commited factory team happy with their B.S. Derv agenda?

What that has to do with road cars and being quick round a uk circuit baffles me though?

Thought there may be an excuse... ;)

What baffles me is why someone who is not interested in this event whatsoever feels the need to comment when everyone else is keen on competing. If you have slow car that can't keep up that's fine, try trolling the track day events and leave the guys on here to get on with something they enjoy.

This is my last comment to you. Enjoy your day.

Just seems that you come across you are the typical "willy waiving" chequebook tuner that thinks its an achievement to turn up the boost and go quick in a straightline...

Where as being quick round the corners takes a bit more skill than "select D and engage launch control".

Have done trackdays and top speed runs at Brunters in the past.. one was fun, the other was pointless.

Each to their own...corners vs straights!

I'm a maybe. Wish I still had the Volvo v70r as a reserve car though!!!

Just a quick update. We are at 13 cars so far on SRS with a couple of friends with Merc and porkers coming along too, so 15/16ish....

If you have any friends who are interested and have Audis, BMWs or porkers then get them on board :D

OK, been on a recruitment drive today and got our numbers up to 35. We have a mixture of friends with different marques - all BMW, Mercs, Porkers and Audis so we are nearly there in terms of numbers now.

Hi Ricky,

Until I get a full house - 60 runners - I can't confirm with Craig. We're not far off now though....
As soon as we have enough runners I'll speak to Craig about this event and get a date.
