sold my new coupe for a profit!

2010 E Class 350CDI coupe sport
Made £500 in 3 weeks of ownership and 1600 miles which BTW was only 2 and a 1/4 tanks of fuel which i thought was very impressive

Bought for £39,750 sold for £40,250

bought to be sold in the middle east I have been lead to believe!

I have to admit it was a silly car for me to buy. at the age of 32 Ive just went out into business on my own after 9 years of employment so spending £40 on a car was maybe not clever.

I did go to Mercedes to by a £28k used C class estate which is what i'll likely do again or i'll get a toerag about a year old.

All you guys waiting on delivery of your e class coupes and all you guys who have taken delivery and know what its all about, I am very jealous! I will miss the car a lot and mostly the smooth silky torky engine and the build quality of the cabin. Having had 3 audis in the past I was pleased at last to be rattle free!! - The looks and admiratin the car got also made me very happy/smug!!

Hopefully I get a C class coffin carrier as ive enjoyed coming on here and reading the posts!

Thanks for the advice to date and all the comments made about the car when I got it. It really added to the experience!
 
Am assuming you paid in cash ...or if on finance have you factored in any costs and loss of interest etc on monies...

But well done - I still can't understand anyone buying a used "stock" car for more list price...but luckily not eveyrone thinks the same as me.:thumb:
 
if you dont mind me asking what sort of discount did you achieve off list ? was it from main dealer? Reason I have asked is that I have bought one the same as yours without memory though, direct from a dealer's stock. It is due in on the 24th

Do you think the car blended in with all other cars and Mercs, or did it stand out and be a bit of a head turner ?

I got zip discount on list. I went into the dealers and managed to get one within 2 weeks as it was an MB order up for grabs on the system. that morning they had sold 3 and as i sat delibrating over a gun mental grey one it sold in front of my eyes so when i asked about discount i was told no chance!! which i kinda understood.

The car is stunning. And i have to say turns more heads than my sprint blue TTS did. It just looks great and that nose is sublime!

Im sure tomorrow i'll regret selling it but as pointed out to get what I got is great for me and it really is the right thing for me to do
 
I dont know how you managed to get rid of "the bug"!?
I was totally happy with my 6 yr old clk270 and my local dealer brought me an e250 sport to test drive. Thought it was ok (but I didnt really give it a good test drive).
I bought it a week later and am smitten by it despite been caught up in the faulty injector issues I just want my baby back! (currently at the dealer having another new injector) As much as I want to get rid due to the issues I just want it back even more.
 
Very impressed you managed to sell it at that price! Goes to show that there is a lot of demand for these cars and Mercedes have priced them right.

Yeah, my car was from dealers stock as well, due in the end of the month. As you say it was a job to get them to move on price, but not impossible.

I think you were lucky to sell your car for a profit as you did, well done to you. These cars are starting to creep on the market now, there are quite a few demos just about to be disposed of etc. I reckon if you had of left another 2 months or so the story would of been quite different
 
How odd people are - why would someone come on here and just lie like this???

There are some crazy people in this mad world!
