Some pictures from a 124 day out

Thanks for posting those up, looks a great day. Lovely variety of cars there.

Do you have to be a member to go and see one of these events and the cars?

On this occasion, to have a W124 included in the official display - yes - you would need to have been a Club member to enter and have paid a modest admission fee (every Club has overheads). It was a W124 Day after all! However, if you had turned up at Gaydon (site of the Motor museum) on the day the fee would have been greater. The ethos of the Club is that anyone with a Mercedes of any age or condition is welcome at any event. I think if you went along as a non-member you would be sufficiently impressed with the quality of cars and the friendliness of the members - you'd want to join on the spot. The benefits are many and varied and I'm sure the vast majority of the 10,000 Mercedes-Benz Club members would wholeheartedly agree with that.

^^
I second that!:thumb:

I'm not talking about having a car included to display. Can you just turn up and see the cars?

Stunning cars - Wish I was there at the time The red one has really got into my heart.Looks like it was sunny (at least pleasant weather too!) !

I didn't know about this but would certainly have liked to have gone and seen some really great cars.
Where any for sale?

they were hoping to get 124 124's there. I guess they made that. Anybody now how many were there ?

I couldn't make it, but would probably have won the "scruffy" category, as
it's still not washed - well we do have a hosepipe ban !

"Likes driving not cleaning" !

I bet my coupe if worse than yours! Haven't decided whether or not to keep it since it requires lots of work the cost of which is far more than it's worth. Ideally sell it (for nothing?) and buy one in really good condition but then again i'd have to keep it in that condition

I've had my car now for a year and not yet met another 124 cabriolet owner yet.

with that many splendid cars around me, i'd have been like a rabbit in the headlights and not known which way to turn.

excellent pictures, i salute you.:thumb:

Is the "sunny side of richmond", do you mean kingston London or are you up norf?

Here's the interior,

Thats a classic example of someone spending too much time on ebay.

Its a funny thing taste and I am not saying that the sparkle car was to mine but fair play he travelled from Ireland and pays €1600 per year tax and loves his 124
as much as the next man and paid big for that paint job and hate it or love it, it was well painted,
It was the most talked about car on the day,
