I think people correcting Blackbeast's poor spelling and grammar need to grow up.

Clearly English is not his first language.

Well I suppose you could help him a tad more - both grammar and spelling are things we can all help ourselves with - dyslexia aside.

And I should add that upbringing doesn't make anyone any different from anyone else.

thank you but 20-25 was a reasonable speed wen drivering along this road, i obviously hit him at a less'er speed than 20mph!, OK if people think that i was too fast im sorry and apologise, but i was drivering at the time, i was there at the time, and in my eyes, i was doing the right thing. i will put my hands up for those who really

post carried on below, for some reason this post decided to post up before i finished

You don't have to say sorry , this time no one hurt and your car a wreck , you have lost a bit of dough, learn like we all do - fast cars crash hard and if you are in the worng , you pay....

obviously has or we would'nt be on about it mate  , An upbringing has a big input to a person, as otherwise we would all let our kids go n do anything they liked and then still expect them to be good at everything later on in life. i was'nt taught properly in the first place, so all i can do is try myself to put it right. (grammer/speech)
when my two boys are bit more older i will get a course at a colledge to help improve my vocabloury/speech/grammer.

Nobody is perfect mate.

My spelling and grammar was terrible and I taught myself to improve it a little.

It does make life easier.:)

Good luck

Olly

PS what you doing with the C43?

I'm with Blackbeast on this incident. In my time driving I have had two roundabouts jump out at me (believe me, I called them tw@ts and even worse!) and only a few weeks ago some ****** wall took the paint off my bumper (I blame Parktronic - which was broken at the time - and the wall, of course).

I don't know anybody who has never made a mistake. Usually loads. I have a RoSPA Gold and still things sometimes come racing into view at the last minute and catch me unawawares. Even inanimate objects, sometimes.

Got to admit that the advanced training substantially reduced the number of incidents, but not - sadly - eliminated them altogether.:( We never stop learning. Certainly, I have learned to watch those tricky roundabouts very carefully....;)

Strange that ....my wife had a wall hit her Honda too............damn walls...

I think we should start a campaign to fine walls for damaging cars.....

Everytime you post is a chance to learn - and that isn't meant to be sarcastic .

You have a built in dictionary in your PC if you have MS Word .

Get a course now - it won't get easier if you leave it longer and if your kids ask for help with their homework then what? (and they do) You won't do yourself and them any favours by putting it off.

I haven't heard from 'Flash' for a long time but when he joined this forum I can honestly say I could not read some of his posts. He was someone that took an awful lot of stick from some quarters but I for one took my hat off to him and it wasn't long before I was enjoying all his contributions. In a way it is lucky he is absent otherwise he would be offering his services to help resolve Ollies vandalism problems. We are who we want to be, nothing more, nothing less. I left school when I was fifteen, thought I knew it all and could take on the World. :o :o

I'm off to chase up Flash :)

Regards
John

The internet forums ect do help me abit with the grammer n that, so i geuss thats a start in self teaching,

Well i still havent got it up on ebay yet but ive had a couple people viewing it and gone away to think about it, the only thing is that one guy said he'd be happy to pay 2250, but im affraid its not enough. I have to get in at least 3000, (BTW insurrance company still not paid out yet)
I would'nt mind fixing it up myself still but not sure if i will have the space time or the right tools, the parts that will need replacing are all W202 parts, except front bumper.
Oh I found out why no powersteering too, It needs a new powersteering thingy (A blackbox with screw up cap on it) that goes next to the Oil cap, behind the rad on the near side, is it the pump?

Im still open to offers close to 3500 tho, i say 3500 because i know i will be knocked down in price, but obviously i will go lower but not much as the car has to pay me out right, and as i said there is not much damage at all,

I have had a good look at the car, and behind the bumper, undernieth and the chassie. The chassie is fine nothing wrong there, it is just the...
light sockets,
lights,
radiator,
powersteering box(might be the pump),
bonnet,
bumper skin,
air con fans,
and that main metal bar that the front bumper bolts to,

All w202 parts except bumper skin,

i hope it goes to the right home and not just broken up, but if it needs to be broke, then it shall with shame, :(

the white van man might not of been a tw@t, its just that he deserved to be called that as he should'nt of been gottin out of a veichle, blocking a road on a blinded bend caused by parked cars!! i would never of pulled up, got out of my car leaving it to be blocking a road that i knew only one car could fit on, incase a car or truck or veichle came round the bend!! that is why i called him a tw@t!

If it had been a mother with two kids whose car had broken down would she be at fault too?

You have to face it - it may be unfortunate etc but the one person who had a round thing in his hand at the time of the incident was you.

He might be the thing you maintain for not stopping in a very safe place, but at the end of the day it was you who had the accibump.

If he had been standing in front of the van at the time then he may well have been a dead tw@t , and you might have been charged with causing death through dangerous driving, so looking at things it all ended rather well.

YOU. WERE. AT. FAULT.

Now for God's sake, let it go.

Or what if it was temporarily invisible and became visible when the C43 advanced upon it?
