Someone key-ed in my car

Someone used my car as a canvas, did two deep lines, one on the driver door and another on the rear left panel. They knew very well what they were doing, deep lines all theway to the metal on two panels that are not fibre glass (or maybe I am giving them too much credit). I suspect that qualifies for a full respray?
I must ask for a decent workshop that wont cost a couple of kidneys and can do a god job (no running paint, no dust on the paint) and can fit the panels together properly if they are taking them out.

Infuriating.

I don’t think you would need a full respray. A good body shop will be able to get the repaired panels spot on and imperceptibly repaired if done well.

Finding a good body shop near you is a different matter though.

It can be repaired 100%, but if its a metallic color, then the sourrounding panels will have to be sprayed as well the blend in the new paint. Mindless bstewards..

Yes, in theory at any rate. But the way the world is heading now, it could be more than one, and you could be in trouble yourself, or who ever is doing it is completely out of his tree on drugs, and even if you managed to drop him, he could probably sue you for damages.

Well maybe you could look outside London for a spray shop,I am sure members will have a few places you could try,colour matching is very good these days so unlikely to be a complete respray,maybe if you gave some general areas that you could get to easily.

Hey guys it's the only time I parked in the busy road instead of the usual secure road. There is no CCTV I am afraid. The colour is palladium silver, very unique to that series. Newer versions are slightly darker for the S-Class coupe. If anyone can recommend a good workshop within the M25 I am happy to take it there.

The only car repair shop I have knowledge of is HILLS at Wanstead Park E7 they are very good.

I got a quote from prestige body shop for £950 to show the car a lot of TLC paint-wise. Said they will try and repair a lot of stuff with machine polish and respray anything that can't be fixed by that. They are also giving me a courtesy car for free. They will need about 5 days. Good time to repair some other minor imperfections
