Space saver wheel for 03 W211 E-Class

Can one get a space saver wheel for an 03 W211 E-Class? There's space for one in the boot, but the car never came with a spare, just the repair kit. With the kind of mileage I do, I don't want to be without a spare.

Any advice will be appreciated. Many thanks.

This might sound a bit stupid but have a closer look as the spare is under the spare wheel well.

it was an optional extra on the E55 !

you will have a can off foam stuff in the boot if you dont have the wheel

Are you saying that the spare wheel was an option on say a car like mine?

Hi evdok, thanks, but that was the first place I looked. There definitely isn't anything that resembles a spare tyre.

Hi Alps, thanks for that info. The foam stuff won't be effective enough for a blowout. Do you have any MB information on obtaining a space saver wheel, ie the product code etc etc? Would a space saver from a C-Class with the same size wheels be OK or are the bolt holes slightly different? Would one have to buy the replacement foam from MB? Is there an after-market wheel that will do the job of getting me out of a jam?
