Spacesaver Spare Wheel Urgent Request

I have to drive to Southampton tomorrow and one of my wheels has been cracked and is unable to be fixed untill Monday. Would it be OK to drive to Southampton and back to Bristol on the space saver? Obviously at no more than 50mph

Apart from the speed restriction, is there not a limit on the recommended distance of 50 miles?

Personally I would seek another solution to the problem.

Can you not borrow a spare off a friend or some one on the forum,would be a lot easier, I think there is a mileage restriction on the space saver too.

The first job I do when I buy a new car is spec a fulll size spare and on used cars a visit to the scrap yard for a full size spare is a must.

Result, phone MB breakdown who tell me there is no distance limit on the spacesaver only speed, so it will be a slow run down to S'oton

Have to agree with w124nut. Besides the recommended usage, what happens if you were unlucky enough to get a puncture?

Problem is, at 4pm on Sat and having to leave at 9:30 am tomorrow, it's a risk I'll have to take.
