Hi all,

Just quick question, is there a special procedure for disconnecting the battery? I know for some cars you have to wait for the CAN bus to goto sleep before disconnecting the main battery and upon reconnection, have a procedure like turn the lights on first etc..

Just asking as I got my replacement steering wheel which I plan to fit tomorrow.

Cheers
Don

No need to disconnect the battery to replace the steering wheel (airbag). Just make sure the key in out of the IGN.

Ah brilliant, that saves me a lot of trouble!

Cheers for that!

Steering wheel finally installed! Was a 30 min simple job thanks to Alps very detailed instructions.

The new one is soo much nicer than the original, I think I will stick to the black plastic paddles than switch to aluminium ones, I think they will get really cold come winter time :-)

Ended up disconnecting the batteries, so no warnings about airbags.

looks great.

well done!
