I've said it before and I'll say it again - you guys are spoilt when it comes to speed cameras. They are mostly GREAT BIG YELLOW POSTS.

Feel for the other global motorists... :-( No Road Angels, and radar detectors are illegal. In rural New South Wales, the cars carry Radar Detector Detectors to this day - I've been caught, and the fine is $1000! I think it is still illegal in most parts of Australia to disclose the exact location of a camera unit.

Personally, I am ultra happy with the cameras here. No Road Angel - I just slow down. Can never get enough speed up anyway - too many cars!

Given that some American car hire companies are already fining motorist upon return of vehicle for breaking the speed limit (per incident, detected by car mounted gps units linky ), it won't be long before the powers that be figure that it is the best way forward.

Hi,

If I had my way I would destroy, cut, blow-up and saw them all down (except near schools and in safety spots). We are being targeted simply because we are a good money spinner for the local authorities.

What about catching drunk and druged drivers or those with no insurence and or road tax, it always the tax payer that pays the bill in this country.

making eplosives are easy, hack wipe home-made naeplam over the camera and light it, ooh pretty

BUT

i prefer the classier way if building a emp device (know how to do it and you can scavenge post parts out of a old microwave actually) and giving it a belt of emp so it looks like its still working, the insides look fine BUT it just will not work at all
