Hi guys,

i was in the Twickenham area today and there are a couple of bridges along kew road i think it is...just to the bottom of the bridges there are these blue coloured cameras...are these speed cameras?

Many thanks

Zak

yep thats the one!!! so thats used purely for monitoring traffic congestion?
interesting...thanks for clearing that up!

Yup, used to have Trafficmaster in my old car... I know the area well, and the Kew Road has no bridges over it. You were probably on the Mortlake Road, either heading towards Kew Bridge or Chalker's Corner. So, no panic, not a Gatso, just a monitoring cam for congestion purposes-Luckily! :p

i have another query...i was travelling along the opposite side of the road...the road had no white lines on the ground...on the other side there was a gatso camera, that flashed twice. my question is can it still detect speed to oncoming traffic on the opposite side?

thanks

Zak

technically it can but legally the police in the UK aren't able to use those photos as evidence.

I think those without the lines after them are for if you jump traffic lights .
