On the second picture down link I used to live in that village of Tittensor. A little one horse village.It is located on a stretch of duel carrageway well over 15 miles long that used to have a 70mph limit now reduced to 60mph.The village only stretches about 1/4 mile and has a limit of 40mph(fair do as its a small village) it has 3 speed cameras But what isn't obvious is that road has a speed camera placed roughly every mile along both sides of the carrageway Talk about money earners.

Hmm. Whilst I don't agree with cynical revenue generators, I don't agree with some of the thinking of the site owner. For example:

"The cause of these accidents lies with drivers who fail to judge the speed of others, rather those who are speeding."

So he means that people should die because they made an error of judgement?

Like most (all) road users i dont like the speed camera. I work for DanTrack Limited, and use our DanTrack mobile office with Tracking, Navigation and Speed camera system from Trafcam. The warnings are great, try to keep the speed down (and do, especially round schools / times) and just find it a useful reminder. Is it me or do modern vehicles not like it in top at 30? dont know if its the memory going but i thought i used to travel in top at 30, now use 4th or sometimes 5th (out of 6, golf 4motion) at 30. Where the systems comes into its own for me though is the specs systems. Everybody seems to slow for gatso's and then return to cruising, with specs you have to maintain the required limit for the duration. I like the reminder.

My ones are the ones near Ascot, which he says, and I quote ... "is the poorest example I've seen".
