spotted my E-cab... on ebay

You need to be getting paid royalties, the cheeky buggers!

Copyright theft. Report him to e-bay. Or send him a bill!

I like the fact he has I guess used your pictures without asking....

Then put his own water mark over them so overs cannot copy them.

E-mail him and ask him about the car :)

I know, what a cheeky mare!! I've emailed them asking about the car so will see what the response is, I'm not 100% sure on how to report a page on ebay because there used to be a link on the page to click to report it but can't seem to see it anywhere

They're not the shop I used anyway because they're based mainly from the states and the far east not in Cambridge!

Would you like him to enjoy a series of "questions"?

That black coupe looks great.

Yeah the black one does look fantastic, E250 CGI as well.. think he's running quad exhausts now but 20" alloys must be a killer

Questionning the gimp sounds like a plan!!

The cheeky sod! Barrage of questions sounds like a plan!

If this is the only place you've posted this picture then surely it's a member of this forum who is the culprit or can anyone access it?

The pictures are linked here through my photobucket but they'd have to view the topics to see them because my albums aren't public

Ask if the customer is local and would be willing to show you the car to see what it looks like in person, all fitted together.

^^ pretty specific search parameters though wouldn't you say

It shows you pictures are public. Having just searched for E Cabriolet I would say they have been scooped from this forum, if this is the only place you have shown them.

Do you reckon he'll give a bit off for the tyre with a cut in the rim protector?

You could take it as a compliment or just pure day light robbery!

Most of the images on the link Jay provided are appearing from posts on the mbworld.org forum. Uploaded voluntairly by the vehicle owner.

These can be viewed without the need to even log into mbworld.

No registration numbers are included.

Do these images not become public domain in this case? There is no copyright notice or ownership notice.

I'm really interested where this stands legally. Does anyone actually know?

Personally I think it would only be a problem if the images were being used to represent something that wasn't as per the image. Maybe this company in Cambrdige have imported this grille in volume from where you bought it and are selling them on. If this were the case are the images beging used illegally?

Do you actually need someones permission to use an image if the person in question has voluntarily posted it on line without a copyright? i.e. Is there automatic "ownership" of an image?
