as the title suggests i've got a squeaky back spring, which while it doesn't really affect me while driving, annoys the hell out of me when i get out the car.

so is it just a case of liberal amounts of WD40 applied? or something a little more difficult?

Thanks

I had that too, a liberal spray of silicon lubricant to all the rubber bushes cured it.

Mines did the same when driving on rough roads or over bumps. Was a broken spring. It breaks quite close to the bottom of the coil so have a good look to check as a breakage as low as they normally break will not cause the spring to pop out of the cup so would not have much, if any, effect on handling. Check out one of my previous threads as i posted a pic of where mines had broken. It might help to identify if that is what your problem is.
