SRS dash light on w202

anyone had a problem with the SRS red light illuminating on a c180 w202 ,mine comes on for 2 minutes then switches off ?

Was the car ever jump started or the steering removed while the battery was still connected?

Sounds like a loose connection

no jump starts etc,it was fine before the snow and ice came,after the thaw the srs light came on,maybe coincidence but i cant pin it down as to what the problem is

Needs to be reset by STAR to get rid of the light theres no DIY way of doing it as far as im aware.

Hi Pingpong,

My light has started coming on for 2-3 minutes ecery time the car is started regardless of whether it is hot or cold.

Did you find your fault / did it need to be reset?

I have the same. I bought EBDII adpater and connected it to my Android device in hope to reset the light but it cant find any fault codes... I thought it supposed to read SRS code. Is it something wrong with the EBD adapter or MB is not possible to fix using EBD things and the only way is the Star device?
