SRS light on dash

W211 over the last couple of weeks SRS light is coming on n off now its permanently on.
gave a friend a lift front passenger seat and it went off and on throughout journey approx hour
can anybody shed some light on possible problem / fix please

try connections under seat but its probably the seat pad

Seat sensor but there was a big recall recently for the SRS in the W204's
