does anyone know a good place to get a MB centre cap (horn button) for after market steering wheels, ie the ones without airbags

I think he means the round horn Momo style button with the MB logo.
I presume you have a Momo or similar steering wheel? Well its a very rare find, a friend bought on on german ebay for a whopping £45! I know he's sold the steering wheel since and may have the horn button floating round. I'll ask him, but he won't sell it cheap though if he has it.

Similar to that but the Germn ones look OEM as the badge looks identical to the oriignal MB design
