Hi

Car is in for the Port Inlet Shutoff Motor at present. I have had a call to say that two manifold stud's have sheared?

Is this a risk of the work or could there have been carelessness. Not sure where to position myself on the cost as yet, but definitely do not want to be unreasonable.

Poor workmanship can't cause this. It is just one of those things. The problem is that steel bolts go into an aluminuim cylinder head.

I don't envy them though. It will be a tricky job.

Thanks Olly. Good to know. I gather it has been causing them grief for a fair amount of time...
