there are a quite a few dings and dents in various places around the car anyone thinking to buy it would deffinatly need to fix them first.
I wouldn't say it should put you off buying the car , dings and dents dont affect the way it drives , you can get them fixed in due course ...
However, you would want to negotiate the price down a bit , lets not forget ladies and gentlemen , it
is an old car , it's not a brand new one , where you wouldn't accept any imperfections ....
If and when i come to sell mine, the paintwork isn't perfect, and there are a few trolly dings here and there , it will be advertised accordingly and with a price to match .. you can't ask top dollar unless the car is top dollar.
My car gets looked after to the best of my ability and price bracket, i would rather it was sound mechanically , and the bodywork comes after. The car certainly passes the 5 yard test ....
If someone wants to come round and look at it and tells me that they won't be buying it unless i get the dings fixed, i'll say 'Fine, bye' ....
Sometimes i think we lose track of this ..... the very last german made w124 made is 10 years old now , you have to be a bit reasonable.
