Stupid AC question!

Okay I am admit this is a stupid question but I have even looked at my manual and there is no clear answer with regards to this so hoping you guys can help me.

The light on AC Auto button comes on when is working.

BUT

on the "ACoff" Button I have no idea if the AC is off when the light is ON or when the light is OFF? I have tried with cold blow to check the difference but that is hard to do this time of the year as I don't feel the diferrence at all. It is a CLK320 W209.

Anyone knows the answer for sure?

When the light is on the AC is off.

The light shows that the function named on the button is active.

So if the button says "AC Off" (as on our Vito) or "Ec" (Economy - as on our SL), the light means it's off.

M-B did go through a phase where the button was marked "AC" (I think), in which case the light means the AC is on.
