I have been having a bit if belt slip on the supercharger since the smaller pulley was fitted, and it's an original merc one and only 2 months old, so looked for alternatives. One was the belt kit with the extra pulleys very expensive for what it is so I opted for the following, unfortuantly this belt is only available from the USA, even gates UK don't sell it but offer an alternative.

Anyway amazon US sell it and I would recommend fitting one, I selected the £6 delivery as I was in no rush

Part no is gates K080496HD V-belt the back of the belt is actually green and its heavy duty

18mm spanner release the tension, I locked in place using an Allen key, it's a tight fit but will go on using fingers only, release the tension job done, took about 4 mins to do

Enjoy!

The Gates 496HD is a popular choice on the US forums, so must be good. Most comment that the standard belt size is fine as the tensioner if functioning properly, should be able to take up the slack created by adding the smaller pulley.

The standard belt is 1289mm (507.5 in Gates and some other belt manufacturers reference or 50.75 inches), the one you have fitted is 1260mm (Gates 496 x 2.54, or 49.6 inches), I also decided to fit a slightly tighter belt but went for a Continental Contitech 8PK1275 (502 or 50.2 inches). I asked Jerry when he was over and he said that the standard belt should be fine.

Jules.
