Has anyone ever used T Cut “Glass” polish on windows/mirrors?

I’m going to use it on the windows of my W215 to make them look spotless (like new) and remove all the blemishes. It states on the instructions that I should not use it on the heated element of windows, therefore, do you think that I should not use the this product on the wing mirror glass? There are some blemishes on the wing mirror glass which I know for sure that T cut will remove but as the wing mirrors are heated I am not sure if I should use this on the mirror glass?

Has anyone else ever used T Cut glass polish before?

I think they mean the inside of the rear window, it would damage the element.

I reckon the mirror should be ok... Ciao.

no but the way the two types of glass are heated is different. The element in the rear window is very often surface mounted, so any abrasive material will damage it. The mirrors are heated using a pad on the rear so you won't damage it by polishing the mirror surface.

I'm fairly certain the wing mirrors have their elements behind the glass so you should be okay doing it.

I was half-way through typing my reply when I had to take a phone call :p.

Nothing to do with us diesel lovers being slow or anything! ;)

Very impressed wit the quick replies...

Thanks and I'll give it ago - only thing that slightly concerns me is that there is a one very faint dotted line on the wing mirror glass...

Isn't the part after the line concave so you can see more of the road?

Your probably right...:o

I'll be interested in how you get on and what exactly this product removes. Glass is very hard and I'd be surpirsed if it does anything than take of surface contaminents.

I have previosuly tried to remove a scratch from a car window (vandalisim, never did find out how they did it, a diamond perhaps?) and failed miserably.

According to the instructions it removes surface scratches but deep scratches it will only “improve” with each layer of application. I will definitely let you all know how I get on.

PS. It is normally retailed for £6.99 But I got it brand new 500ML for 99P. If anyone else wants some then let me know now so I can go and get some more for you lot before its all sold out.

I dont think it will do anything that vinegar and newspaper wont sort.

Hard as glass

Works ok. Reduced to 99p in all Motor world shops too from £5.99...
My local MotorWorld turned into a SPAR or something! :(

I bought some a few months ago on a whim. I can't say it removed any blemishes but did do a good job as a straghtforward window/glass cleaner.
It now sits proudly within my vast collection of car cleaning products in their exclusive cabinet in my garage.
I get a high from the pong every time I open the door!

There are some white marks on the glass thqt look like dried shampoo from washing the car on a hot day and not drying the windows in time - that's what I mainly need to remove. I hope that the T Cut does do the job and gets rid of it. Auto Glym glass polish that I tried did not make much difference.

Should the T Cut fail then my next step will be to apply pure lemon juice mixed with bit of vinegar. Lemon juice is even suppsoed to clear lime scale on shower heads/taps.
