Hi - I have a E320 and the temp guage and clock display are not working, but there is a partial display. Garage say new unit required at enormous cost but I wonder if it's prone to bad connections. Anyone else come across this? It seems from the bits of display that it might be working but only certian bits on the LED display light up.

Whilst on the subject, I have power going to driver seat and fuses work but heated seat doesn't. Passenger one is OK. Do the 'elements' ever break?

Common problem. Do a search on here for a fix. Basically the silicon ribbon to the back of the LCD display doesn't make good contact until a couple of rubber wedges are installed between the circuit board and the retaining clips to add more pressure. Use thick rubber bands for the wedges.

Blow me down it WORKED!!!!!!! The display on the clock / gear selected is a bit crap but still readable, and the temp displays fine.

Thanks for your help - And yes, I did wonder what the two bits were that zapped out onto the floor as I opened it up!!!!

Now all I have to do is fix the heated driver seat.......

Just reading the posts on it. I hate having things that don't work. However, I always feel that heated seats make you feel like you've had a bit of an accident, anyway!!

After I've forked our on the EGR valve maybe I'll put up with a cold bum!!!
