Thanks for your post.
Yes, I had a spare engine cover so it made sense to paint it to make it work better against the CF intakes.
Obviously it's not a perfect match but it works better being black rather than mottled silver.
Steve should be popping over to mine tonight to help me get the stock Y-piece off the engine so I can finally test fit the new intakes.
I'll update you once we've made some headway.
