The Driving test poll thread

Been driving since 1978, had one "at fault" accident when I was 19 - all the others were other people deciding to re-arrange the look of my cars, including a truck side swiping my then 2 week old Saab while it was parked at a client! - thank God for witnsses!! :D

So mine would be - 16 :)

Define accident.

I have had no accidents involving other cars but a few hits with walls in the office car park. That was my fault but would it count against me....

20 years, no accidents, no points.

Its a miracle - there must be a god!

If you claimed on your insurance, then unfortunately, yes.
If you footed the repair bill yourself, then no.

36yrs / 550,000mls no at blame accidents = 36

Ha! Beat you by one(37). And and additional 500k miles.

6 points though, 2 speeding incidents, both years ago. That is one per 6 years / 166k miles.

I now expect to crash or get done for speeding having said that......

No points, not even a parking ticket!!! :)

Oh in that case i've had only 1 accident and it wasn't my fault! :D

Passed my test in 1962, since then 1 accident my fault, 3 points added 20 years ago for speeding and must have driven 500,000+ miles in 12 cars

Been driving and riding motorbikes for 32 years, only had 1 "my fault" accident and that was in my fathers car, whoops, black ice ended up in ditch then hitting tree. So my number is 32!

50! For interest's sake, I would like to know what date in 1960 I passed my test. Does anyone know if the DVLA keeps info such as this?

A lot of old, safe drivers! 49 years of driving 1 at fault accident.

w124 212-170=42k
w202 149-016=133k
total=175k
years=12.33
at fault=1
points=0

11 years of driving (since I was 14)... no clue how many miles, but on the W202 I've added 100K, the Z3 about 30K and the voyager about 80k...

1 accident where I was found to be at fault (rear ended a guy... totally my fault!)

So does that make me an 11? If so, the system is screwy :p I'm constantly involved in accidents (where I'm a passenger most of the time... sometimes when I'm outside the car) so my safety factor should be in the nengatives :p

...46, 28 years in the US, 3 years in Germany, 1 Year in Holland the rest over here!
