The Great Scottish Grand Tour 2012

I will be there (Dumbarton) when I get there on Friday.

Steve - If the tour starts at 09:30 at Duck Bay Hotel, will you be there a little earlier for coffee (or even breakfast), or should we make sure that we are fed and watered before meeting?

I'll be there for coffee and a chat, I have a plan about the route, and that is to reverse the days as the weather for saturday looks bad in the west, better in the east, and Sunday nice all over. This may mean a lunch stop in Pitlochary instead

You know me Steve..
I'm not ****d which way we go as long as we go..:D

Not saying Glasgow is dodgy but I phoned the hotel earlier to be told that they "Lock the doors at 11pm" !!!
Maybe I should get the train to the Hotel ??;)

I am at the Premier Inn at Bearsden..
Didnt we all do well by managing to avoid each other Lol

we did indeed .. and no doubt we will be avoiding each other while driving too :D

I will be driving my CLS55 AMG into the welcoming bussom of a strathclyde WPC, you'll all drive by why I get the dressing down of my life....

It was YOUR fault :D

Excellent Trip

Firstly a BIG thank you to Steve (***) for organizing such a brilliant trip.
Seriously mate you excelled yourself..
Ive only just got in and so I havent had time to sort the photos (yet)..
Im sure others will beat me to it..

Brilliant company (as usual) and some well above average food..

Once again,

Thanks a million..

No bother, my arm is proper hurting and swollen up from the fall so have to take my time on the computer as it hurts to use keyboard equipment and mouse etc.

Normally they'd be up and typed up, but not quite there yet.

I'd like to say thank you to all who came on the trip and I am glad you enjoyed the route. I won't appologise for some of the iffy weather, I cannot control that...LOL!!!

Ignore my post on the other thread!!
Hope the arm recovers soon.

Steve, - From the other thread - No problem about you not saying 'goodbye', I'm sure your mind was on other things. Many thanks from me for re-routing the tour to do the Dukes Pass on the Saturday morning.
It was a splendid mornings drive, ending up with a great lunch.

You may remember that I did the Devils Elbow (and the rest of the A939 a A93) last year, so I was happy just to retrace our mornings route back to Dumbarton with a quick stop at the Dewars' distillery.

I got home (Hastings, not Dumbarton at about 6:15pm today (Monday)
Total driving 1448 miles, 29hs 8 Minutes.
Average 50 mph and 30.2mpg.

Steve & Cath, I did look out for you this morning to say 'Hello' and maybe have a coffee, but I guess you were busy planning the Edinburgh shopping trip
;)
