The (in)famous W211 E63 front brakes...

Last time I enquired about front brake discs for one of these they were around £1000 EACH without pads, the total cost for pads and discs was about £2300ish

I phoned local dealer parts department today and the cost has collapsed to just under £1100 for the FULL front set up i.e. two discs and two pads with wear sensors.

Hopefully this will be good news to someone (as rare as the car is...)

I'll have to check what they are for my SL63 with the PP discs, although I don't need them right now if they are going for a decent price I might as well get them because at sometime in the future i will and s*ds law says they'll be full price.

They are also available on eBay for £875.

I enquired about the top gear e63 estate when it was on the market. The garage used by the vendor said he bought discs and pads in from the States. Quality was ok and the cost was much lower (but still alot) than here. 1000 all in sounds about right.
