I just took the cab out of the garage and brought it home, and boy oh boy does she look good in the rain...

Who thinks their cars look better wet? hmmm

if only the paintwork gleamed like this when dry eh eh lol

A glass half full sort of guy Boss. When you took it out I bet you didn't think it was going to rain.:)

I once viewed a Celica GT4 that was covered in rain. The seller was very narked when I pulled out a chamois and proceeded to wipe it down. Glad I did because it exposed his rattle car bodge-up on the passenger door! He grimaced as I walked away!

Apart from the interesting drive home (wheeeee!!!) it covers the pinhole rust spots.

Rain!! Ha! Boss, you're just trying to wind me up! :D I haven't seen rain since I left the UK! A nice cooling shower would feel great right now!! (40 C and still going!)

wow, u must be getting tanned.

im off to the middle east soon.. so looking fws to a ray of hope lol

hows tricks? any plans to return sooner than initially thought?

Boss get the Cab detailed so that your paint work looks pristine again.

K

The cabrio is almost detailed.. very clean and no real tar stains or residues.. just the paint does sometime look a little flat.. the interior has some light soiling marks, so do wanna get these addressed, just i want the interior to gleam, and maybe its just too dusty in the garage.. as in sitting dust? dunno

not sure if it is the lack of sun light or what.. or maybe 20 years of weathering, but she DID sparkle in the rain.. doh! lol ;) lol

Arghh

Had the car valeted yday, left it on the drive today and yday and its raining now...

What was the bloody point!!!!???

If the car had a proper paint treatment todays rain would just roll off and a simple wipe over with some quick detailer would restore the just polished look again.

It sounds like your current valeter isn't doing much good to your car if both inside and out are grubby.

That's not grubby, that's the patina of age that goes along with a Heritage car!

Well, today was a lot cooler (at last!!) and the smoke has subsided quite a bit, so we'll stick it out to the end! I'll post a photo later of the house immersed in the smoke, it was sureal!

Tomorrow morning we're off on our road trip up north for a few days, which will be nice.

OK, have a great holiday and we'll catch up later! :)
