BMW also sold cars here in this German taxi colour in the early 1980's.

Not my choice of colour, but better than white, unless you want to use it for weddings

Definately an Mb colour, infact have seen quite a few 190's and early 124's in that colour across europe...

Yep - It is a standard MB colour from the W201/W124/W126 generation - in Morroco al Taxis are in that colour and the majority of Taxis are W123/W126s all finished in that original factory MB colour/paint. W123/W126s were bulit liek bullets...

Its officially known as "Old Age Pensionsers Beige" and matches their slip-on footware rather nicely!

No offense to any pensioners who may be members of this site....having a Mercedes obviously excludes you from the sterio typical description of an old age pensioner!:p

Colour is Hellelfenbeim-light ivory 623 I think. Classic ebay advert for all would be 190 owners to study!!!

MBenzNL's father is rebuilding a 1960s fin-tailed e-class, last time I saw it the process was near the beginning so it was a bare shell, freshly painted in taxi-cream colour! Beautiful! :D

My father once bought a W124CE brand new.

He was so befuddled as to what colour to get that he left the colour choice to MB. Mercedes in their wisdom hunted around for one in a colour that they couldn't shift so when the car arrived it was a very very nasty sh*t coloured non metalic brown.

I've never seen such a bad colour on a mercedes - ever!

My father never made the same mistake again.

What an odd thing to do

"Hello Mr Estate Agent, I want to buy a house, and I don't give a monkey's where it is."

PJ

Around the time I was born, my Mum sent my dad out to buy a new Vacuum. She told him to look out for the red and grey one, made by Hoover.

He came home with a two-tone red over grey Vauxhall Victor estate.

She can't have been too upset, because within a couple of years, she had a green over grey one of her own!

My Dad wanted to buy a W123 in that colour years ago..... needless to say he didn't get his way.

Its a lovely colour for walls but not cars!

Yes, you're right....... or that awful orange they used to paint w123's in ....
