Thinking of selling the E63

been looking at getting a Range Rover Vogue either the 4.2 s/c or the 3.6TDV8

haven't had a chance to test drive any yet as really busy with work, has anyone on here had either or still got one

just wanted to see if i was being silly selling the E63 as it's been a really good car and i enjoy it

as the saying goes the grass isn't always greener on the other side so don't want to let go of somethin good for something maybe not so good?

In answer to your question....."if you are being silly", the answer is simple.................YES.

Why on earth would you give up a Mercedes V8 for anything else??

Pleeeeeease keep hold of it as you will regret it very soon my friend

If you're used to an E63, I'd go for the RR Sport 4.2 supercharged; it's a lot more car-like than the full fat RR.

I think you'll find it hard to replace the E63 with anything that will scratch the same itch.

I suspect that even if you get a full-fat RR, all you'll notice is the drop in power/ performance compared to the E63 and the extra weight and body roll of the RR.

Although as I understand, the interior of a RR is a very comfortable, plush place to sit.

If that's what you're after, then it may well work for you.

Don't buy a RR!!!! Keep the e63! We have a 5.0 litre supercharge autobiography on a 59 plate in the family and I must say it is a really nice motor, however nothing compared to a e63!!! You will probably regret it. Alternatively take a few for a test drive and make your mind up that way! The maintenance is high to!

Inside deep down i don't want to let go of the E63 i'v always wanted it and now i'v got one i love everything about it.

I think my mind was wandering for no reason at all, just been out for a wee drive over lunch and that 6.2l V8 is a masterpiece love it

also had a wee chat with a mechanic mate of mine who looks after a few RRS/RR and the reliability definetly isn't very good

maybe it was a spur of the moment thought of selling which if i'd followed through with i would have regretted

Definetly think i'll stay with my subtle undercover beast

i changed mine for a cayenne and am totally happy, 545bhp, awesome noise, but each to his own. I do miss that engine though..

I was waiting for you to chime in because i knew you had sold yours but wasn't sure what you had bought

cayenne turbo's are nice but i drove a mates one and really didn't like it infact put me right off them

I'm being silly even looking for another car but i LOVE the S63 AMG and the 740d M Sport

both roughly the same price but for the time being the E63 is staying, i went home last night at 2am through some back roads with the window down and the radio off

damn it sounds good
