Will polish the cars when the weather allows using Autoglym Super Resin but should I apply a wax after?

Also can wax be applied on glass?

If the paint is in good condition, then a modern spray ceramic type sealant would be a better option than wax.

Easier to apply, more effective and longer lasting

There’s loads out there, probably worth a Google or look on YouTube for some reviews/comparisons.

I’ve used this before - they were doing a deal in Costco recently for about £12/13 a bottle if you shop there by chance:

Meguiar's G190526EU Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax 768ml Advanced SiO2 Technology https://amzn.eu/d/3tzjuHM

Very quick and easy to use, can use some after washing to add protection.

It’s obviously not the same as a properly applied conventional type ceramic coating but it’s very effective and good value for money for regular use on daily drivers :thumb:

Spray on and rinse off is my kind of product but is it really doing anything for longer than a few hours?

Well if your paint is now in good condition , you don’t need to keep polishing it . Maybe just do it yearly.
A product like Sonax BSD (brilliant shine detailer) is super easy , good value and beads like you would not believe .

I’m yet to polish either of the cars so just once as soon as the weather allows will be enough I guess. I just need a wax or something to keep the shine and beading.

Is the sonax more of a waterless wash product rather than a wax?

No it’s not a waterless wash product. Wash the car as normal , dry it . Then one spray per panel with a micro fibre cloth and a quick buff with another cloth .
It is instead of wax , although you could use it to protect a wax coat for longer but that’s overkill .

Yes, in general wax is outdated - modern coatings/sealants are superior in terms of longevity.

If you have some spare time have a look at some of the YouTube videos out there covering this, ‘Forensic Detailing Channel’ is pretty good 👍

AG recommend a further coat - specifically their Extra gloss Protection - on top of SRP.

For years i’ve used Megs Last touch for ‘in-between’ washes, but now i use AG Aqua Wax. Use in the same way as a spray detailer (like Last Touch), just spray it on a clean wet car, dry with microfibre cloth. Easy.

Hmmmm interesting, I too might order some Sonax for my vehicles.... I tend to use Poor Boys products which are very good, but having black vehicles everything shows up ( Bike 1 & SL500 ) the other vehicles are Yellow / White and a sort of grey / blue depending on the light ....

It’s so cheap I don’t even need to offer a money guarantee back based on a poor recommendation :) .
Sonax BSD. Brilliant stuff.:thumb::thumb: It's my go to product when I can't be bothered with the Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax.
Which is pretty much every time I wash the car.

Wax was originally used to protect paint.
Modern cars are painted with a Water Based Colour that would literally wash off in the rain, so it's then
topcoated with basically a Plastic Film/Varnish in the paintshop/factory.
Anything to make your car shine will be OK, even Mr Sheene.
But Wax, is not necessary.
There are some great, low price products out there now, pick one which is easy to apply.
