toe rag Mother F*****s

Absolutley - with the sony ( no, I dont sell them!! :p ) you can transfer the recorded call as a file to your computer or just email it straight from your phone or send it via bluetooth etc etc ...

Potentially very useful :D

Hope your legal insurance helps with the breach of contract. Dis claimers can be illegal, again your solicitor will advise on all the finer points. Small companys use them as well as large Local Authorities, mainly to put people off from claiming ! Yes i know .....sounds like bar room lawyer advice buy its true !!!!.. ;)

Good luck with your claim
Pete

There is no claim as there was no reason to use the car park other than personal choice. Why was the owner not using public transport ? This is how lawyers think im sorry to say.

It's such a terrible waste to see such damage. Sorry to see it.

miro,

I totally disagree, all the car parks at heathrow seem to offer secure parking of some sort.

It is not always a personal choice as to when you have to be at the airport and who pays for the parking, and public transport doesn't offer the flexibility required for my job. I have to use the car parks in and around Heathrow.

Lawyers can't surely fall back on a persons choice as a legal argument, otherwise every breach of contract or unsatisfied consumer would never have a claim and win.

As of today my car is still waiting for the parts to arrive.

I don't care if there was a hole in the pavement, no-one forced you to walk on it!

As I have a courtesy car and needed to fly from Heathrow again today. I took the liberty of parking again at Pink Elephant to check out the CCTV etc.

At this time, there are no public liability signs on the way into the car park, nor any warnings around the area I parked in, nor at the bus stops. Also the ticket issued as nothing on it either.

The only CCTV camera I found was situated on the top of the last bus shelter pointed towards the exit, the buses used.

I will be looking into this further.

As to the car repairs. It now appears that Solus only do the bodywork/internal reapirs, they will not replace the stolen command themsleves. I am waiting for the insurance company to tell me if they will take the car to a stealers for the replacement or if I have to once the car is returned. I would prefer them doing it and giving me the car back completed.

Solus are now doing the command install after some curse calls to the insurance co.

I had to tell them to get braybrookes involved for the parts.

However the car is still at the garage waiting for the last parts to come in.

I have now written to baa to try and claim back my uninsured losses.

Will keep you all posted

At long last, after nearly five weeks since the toe rags broke into my car, I am hopefully going to get it back tomorrow.

I will keep you all posted as to the quality of the repair.

Hi All,

Got the car back yesterday, They seem to have done a good job, although for some reason the SRS badge on the drivers door is now missing, which I am sure was in place when it was taken in. Solus will look at in on Monday

I will now preceed against BAA and Pink elephant for reimbursement I will keep you posted

Glad to hear your car is back (and hopefully they have done a good job) !

Good luck with your claim.

Steve

The SRS badge is under £1 if you want a new one, I can get the part number if you want it :)

Shude can you PM me the part number Thanks.

What colour do you want it? :D

EDIT: here is a pic of a pair of grey ones. Part number is similar, just need to change the interior colour code to whatever you want.

A20381770209051 : GUIDE SIGN : EUR 1.22

That's for black, NOT anthracite (different colour code! )

Also apologies, it might actually cost £1 now!

EDIT: this has also just shown me all the interior colour codes with names for designo interior trim which I didn't know existed :D

thanks shude

Just washed the car after using it for a week since its return. On close examination I have noticed that the newly painted door/wing has slight orange peel affect below the lacquer layer.

I will be calling the garage back tomorrow to complain.
