Are they lacquered/painted around the hub to prevent corrosion. Would be awful to see rusting hubs each time you stood looking down at your wheels:eek:

I'm not sure. I think they might be because there are no marks or browning on them. Any ideas how to check?

Very professional , they look great.

Will do, if we aren't under water by then. Its chucking it down!

Very nice! :)

This so you can retain the original calipers? Which I guess aren't the Sport variety, very neat solution.

Just wipe a patch with thinners, or even Tcut

Not if you want to retain the rust inhibiting qualities though!!

You could just paint silver (or black) but I would think a coat of laquer
would be the best option?

EDIT - Heat issues????

I had these made for me in order to fit the standard calipers. They get fitted tomorrow:)

Very cool

I've been toying with the AMG brake upgrade or the 'Sport Pack' brakes, on my W203 mainly for the aesthetics, cross drilled and grooved as well as the neat calipers. However it is an expensive mod, your approach looks very very tempting. From what you mention also cost effective.

Could you let me know who / where you had this done (assuming they're happy to do more!). PM if you don't want to post the details on the forum...

Are they based on original MB discs?

Cheers :D
