Tomorrow's Mod!!

Very cool

I've been toying with the AMG brake upgrade or the 'Sport Pack' brakes, on my W203 mainly for the aesthetics, cross drilled and grooved as well as the neat calipers. However it is an expensive mod, your approach looks very very tempting. From what you mention also cost effective.

Could you let me know who / where you had this done (assuming they're happy to do more!). PM if you don't want to post the details on the forum...

Are they based on original MB discs?

Cheers :D

Let me get them fitted and check everything is OK. If everything is OK then I'll see if I can arrange something. The firm that made my discs uses AP or Delphi Lockheed discs (as do most OEM manufacturers). Mercedes use many firms discs and even the same model can get made with a different batch of the same part made by a different supplier.

Looks great, any difference in brake feel?

Look forward to your comments & whether we can get more of these made ;)

I've got to bed the pads and discs in, so its a bit soon to say but I reckon they are going to be very good and I think they look

I can get more made and if anyone wants to come to the middle of Kent, I can get them fitted and your calipers painted at the same time.

I'd like to see a side on shot as I've been pondering whether to fit the coloured centre caps.

Think I'll definitely be up for that, I could do with having the calipers painted black too :)

I'm free most weekends for the next few weeks :D

Looks really great Greg - have a narna :bannana:

Cost dependent

As you know just spent fortune on new wheels and tyres. What would be cost front and rear plus fitting. Is my C200K Sport same size disc?

The discs are the same width as standard and standard are just plain non drilled groved ones. Are yours standard C200k brakes or "sport" brakes? If they are standard I'm sure its easily do-able!

Mine are just plain grooved ones. However, I will check as i think that they maybe 'sport' pack as my car wont take a 16" standard Mercedes wheel as the discs are too big. I will check will local dealer on Monday.

Hmm. I thought sport pack had cross drilled discs. Come on sport pack owners!!

That's what I thought too and they're bigger diameter than the standard discs, 13.2 inches (like the AMG ones)

Yeah, and they have Mercedes Benz on the calipers? - are they the ones?

Thats the ones! Funny I've been thinking about that logo;)
