Just a quickie really...
can anyone recommend a top cover for a CLK - it's the cat, I can cope with the little @*$@# warming her muddy *##$ on the bonnet, but I draw the line at sharpening her %%*@##* claws on the soft top, the little **#@.
(wife's pet)
Prices seem to vary widely for top covers - are the expensive ones worth it?
Many thanks
feel better for the rant.

Best top cover in the world. The Royal Air Force.

On a more serious note. I think there is some form of herb that cats do not like, maybe sprinkle some of that onto the cover. Someone will be along soon with the name of the plant I'm sure.

Wouldn't the cat just tear through the top cover anyway?

There is a coachbuilders in london that make bespoke hard tops for convertibles. Maybe in the long run that might be a good idea.

http://www.clkhardtop.com/ - I'm talking about something like this.
This makes me want a w209 cab.

I can't see how a top cover could be fitted without the risk of straps etc. marking the paintwork when the wind blows. You might be better off with a full cover ... a decent fitted one will set you back £300+ but better than replacing the hood. Quite a few previous threads on covers, if you do a search.
