Travellers taken over Benz World

LOL! According to urban dictionary, a dogger is "voyeurs who watch couples fecking in the woods"
Some progress!! Might as well left the travellers as they were, same activities.... LOL!

Can't sat I miss NW London! LOL
Thanks for clearing up the meaning for me.

My original position still stands, the police are not in a position to take a firmer line with these people and there doesn't seem to be a viable solution currently, sorry for the negativity.

“Not in a position to take a firmer line”. Are we talking police numbers or politics here? I think the latter. The police appear capable of providing hundreds of officers to supervise/control tens of thousands of people at sports events, rallies, etc so why not acouple of hundred to move Travellers on? As I’ve said before, I’m convinced it’s more to do with accusations of victimisation, racism and right-Wing abuse of freedom by too large a section of our community, no matter if they would have the backing of the majority.

So you're suggesting we impose martial law? Because that is what using the armed forces to act as police is.

Not act as the police , to (unarmed) assist the police and authorities to do what needs to be done according the laws that most of us adhere to.

I am not saying that every time someone pitches a tent in a park we mobilize the entire Scots Guard with air support with a squadron of Typhoons , what i am saying is that if authorities need a bit of assistance to carryout a certain task then why not use what resources are available to them at the time as any other "business" would do.

I agree that it is only a "problem" for some , a bit like vandalism / car theft / burglary / bullying etc. but when it does effect you directly it can have far reaching implications. My neighbour , 83, has been targeted twice in the last year as she is an easy target due to the fact she lives herself and is old. They intimidated her twice to having her driveway half cleaned and no doubt they will be back for a visit when next in the area , she was almost in tears as she recounted her terrifying story which involved at least six "salesmen" in her house until she agreed and payed for the work to be done , again. Plus they probably had a good rummage around whilst they used the toilet as she was being distracted.

So IMHO the available tools , whatever they are, should be used to carry out a particular task if required.

Some football hooligans maybe??

Very possibly but other more intelligent and disciplined tools are available though.

On second thoughts the average bunch of football hooligans would probably poo themselves when put up against a load of dead hard pikeys.

This may be out of date; I no longer follow football or those involved in any capacity since big money spoiled it all for me:

It's a plausible sort of theory however if one could create enough animosity between 'travellers' and organised violent football hooligans;
as long as nobody innocent got dragged in, which would be have to taken into serious consideration.

One of the sad truths about the days of the British Empire and I'm thinking here specifically about the terrible way India was controlled,
most specifically towards our ultimate appallingly ill though out and implemented withdrawal,
was that to allow the ongoing infighting amongst the Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims.

But it would certainly liven things up a bit! :D

^ This exactly. There is no political will to do anything. As opposed to the protest site near me where £300/400k PER MONTH was being spent to deter peaceful protesters who clearly were a threat to humanity. Liverpool gun team's bright yellow wagon(sign written "A Force To Be Reckoned With) proudly displayed at the front of the site and officers without ID marks using physical violence (all filmed by protesters) to reinforce their view. Police authorities appear to be capable of achieving anything providing the will exists. One wonders what would happen if a bus load of protesters turned up at the travellers site- who would protect who?

Last man standing gets a prize?

This is just another example of a weak police force. All we , law abiding citizens, want is for the police to do their job and act swiftly and decisively against all law breakers and any organisations that are in our country to be devisive and threaten our way of life. I am fed up of reading every day about how people and organisations get away with breaking the law and our police do nothing about it in case they are accused of racism or infringing human rights. Everyone is welcome to live in our country as long as they accept our laws and way of life and if they don't want to then go elsewhere.

Strange that in the case of a very affluent spot on the Fylde, travellers were moved on the day after their arrival. Enough said since part of the local Police force has now moved into our house. Gulp.

Back to the original topic, Brooklands is in Elmbridge Borough Council. The travellers will eventually go, as always; just before a court order is served. On average every occasion the travellers pitch up on public land the cost to the Council is £20,000. I would hope Mercedes Benz Brookland’s lawyers are more aggressive than those of Elmbridge.

From my past experiences of these matters, it doesn’t matter how good the lawyers are it’s all down to who serves the writs and how they actually get the offenders off of the site.

Interesting information on the Mails website about the ‘man’ that broke into the pensioners house in Hither Green a couple of nights ago.

When my daughter was little I befriended the merry-go-round operator at the zoo.

The most kind man I have ever met. Very pleasant to chat to, and he always gave my daughter extra time or free rides.

He told me he came from a long line of travellers and that most of his family where in either the circus or fun fair business.

He operated other attractions in the zoo with the help of his extended family.

I guess there are all sort of 'travellers'... not everyone with a caravan is the same.

Different sort of travellers methinks.
It appears that Henry Vincent and his long line of family decided that there are easier ways to make a living.
Unfortunately for them and fortunately for us their chosen career has its drawbacks.

I would be surprised if a jury convicted him, I hope the DPP has the sense to not waste public money on a prosecution. Don't want to get killed by a householder, don't burgle their house simples!

He deserves an OBE, CPS.
Prosection of a pensioner with 2 pints on the go .. just NO.
