TRAX 2011 Silverstone Sunday Sept 4th

Great stuff, a Bus is quicker than all the others

Awesome.

Does that and still able to fit all the stuff from B&Q or ikea in it.

Nice...

What about the other times? anyone else? the C63's C43 / 55 etc

5.7 for the ML sounds pretty good to me :)

Apologies for the quality of the videos, could be better - didn't realise I'd not set it up for the higher quality recording as I'm a picture wh**e and save memory for pictures rather than videos.. anyway, 0-60 bits..

Thanks Alx I'd got there quite early on and was with two guys that wanted to walk around quite a lot so didn't get as much time as I'd have liked around the MB club display. Your ML is sweet as, sounds fantastic too and it goes very well I'd be very happy with the time it ran!

Wow thats a lot of videos to upload onto youtube !! Thanks for all of them Nab.

Pfft my runs were pathetic  from inside the car my first run with ESP off felt quite spectacular sliding about but not the case looking back at it now :o Think I should of let Gary have a run in it.

Dont even go there on the 0-60 runs.....OMG what a wally I feel....

Morning guys, really good to see you all and a huge thanks to Alps for sorting it out yesterday. Great work fella....

As always a pleasure meeting all the old faces, and more so meeting all the new ones. Loved some of the VW's that joined us yesterday as well. Really good bunch of guys.

Now back to the 0-60 runs.....what happened....I gavce it the bigun with some wicked burn outs before hand and then pulled away from the line on my first run like miss daisy....that hit a 5.23 which was very dissapointing, but the second one with traction off the wheels span up and I sat there through to 3 gear....Like you Marty I could have spent alot more than I did trying to get off the line a bit better.

GREAT FUN Though!

Once again to all of you guys I meet yesterday a big thanks from me and my son Jack we both had a wicked time literally.....especially after I got him to go over and get the girls for the photo shoot for me and Marty. Train em young I say!

Thanks to Alps

Thanks Apls for getting this event organised, unfortunately i didn't get to meet everyone on the day (inc. Alps)! I rushed around in between the rain & got to see quite a bit of track action though & then put my C55 on the rolling road opposite our MB club section.
I was very pleased (& surprised) to see that my car achieved 409.4 BHP (pic below). The car has only covered 32k miles since new but had a complete engine rebuild by MB this year under warranty. Since then I have had Olly's complete de-catt exhaust put on & changed the airfilters to Greens. The chap on the rolling road said the figures should be accurate because they had previous run x2 Subra's WRX STI's during the day & both cars were within +/- 3.0 BHP of their standard output. Looking forward to the next GTG & hopefully meeting more of the group again.

Damn, I wish I'd done mine now, being, I think, the same engine with a remap but std exhaust and filters. How much did that cost? I shared Paul's concerns about mobile dynos though.

They were charing £40 (all in on the day)! I also share concerns about mobile RR's but i did spend a bit of time there & a lot of other cars went through who were very close to what the owners had expected? I'm also planning to get another RR done in the next couple months & see what it achieves again then to compare.

Thanks, I have no idea how much it costs normally :)

Just got back half hour ago, and had a good read up of the posts and browsed the photos, Quite like Benjys photo of his car and bonnet coverings! great day out, big thankyou to Alps for all his efforts to arrange and organise everything, as Jon, I also did a lot of walking about, so much to see.
Again great to see the familiar and new faces, and the many chats with numerous people. Great job Alps, thanks
