Xmas looming large PDQ

So I though about getting a TV card for the PC ideally one that can get free to air digital chanels (when the last ariel blew down I had a "digital ready" quality replacement put up on the roof)

Does anyone have any specific reccomendations or ideas of what I should ask for - internal card V external units etc.

Also its a bit of a pain getting into the back of the machine to plug things like memory sticks in.

can I get an adapter ? I'm sort of thinking along the lines of a 4 way electrical extension that we all use when we run out of sockets. or is it best to get one of those drive bay that can you can plug in lots of different stuff.

thanks

Steve

I've had an original Hauppauge transferreed from pc to pc as i've upgraded them and it's still working fine, (10 years old) they are contantly updating the drivers too. They have now the free to air http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/products/data_dec1100-t.html as an external box. I've got my sky feed into my PCI TV card and the picture is good.

Only 1 problem was updating drivers, conflicts etc, but have now got round it when they supplied some driver cleanout software.

I would reccoment these anyday.

I bought a PC World Lifeview PCI card for another machine £20, this is very poorly supported and the software is ok, that comes bundled with it. but it does have a remote control, which most of the new cards have
