TV tuner for MY13 C Class Comand

I have a 2013 C Class with the latest iteration of Comand Online. At the time of manufacture a digital tv tuner was not listed as an available option.

Can anybody advise as to aftermarket solutions which will integrate with the Comand interface ?

Yes, you can put a genuine Mercedes TV tuner on it, which then uses antenna amplifiers in the front and rear windscreens. The only trouble is the tuner is about £900 then you need the antenna amps, wiring, fibre etc so an expensive outing.. and of course TV isn't really designed to be received in cars, more so in houses with a big high-up aerial ... so never that good quality

Thanks for the response Richard. I feared an OEM retrofit would be prohibitively expensive and that seems to be the case. Are you aware of any non OEM options which can utilise the video inputs on Comand ?

Agree with you re the car not being the perfect environment for a TV tuner. We have an OEM install on the wife's car and reception can be patchy, I do find it a nice thing to have though given how much time I spend hanging about waiting to pick up kids from dancing, swimming, acting etc etc etc............
