Tyre Shine/Dressing

I have been using Mer tyre shine, works very well, easy to use just spray on leave for a couple of minutes and wipe clean

Best bang for buck is Auto Smart 'Finish'.

£25 buys a 5L tub which can be mixed with water 1:1 so ten litres for £25 or £2.50 a litre which is excellent when compared to AG at around £6 for 500ml.

Ah, a fellow Boxster owner, which forum is that Sand-Dancer ?

Zaino Z16 - this is simply the best product for a nice dry sheen that doesn't splatter the car and lasts reasonably well.

Megs Endurance purple is very Disney but just too greasy and it splatters the car. Auto Glym gives a nice natural finish similar to Zaino, but without the durability.

That's mine with AG after approx a week of driving, suits me more than anything. Like the sound of the ziano, pics would be great.

Nice natural finish from Dr Beasley's Tyre Conditioner...

Love chemical guys wet look tyer dress

same here, turtle wax tyre shine in the spray bottle but I don't spray it on I pour some into a pot and use a paint brush to apply, leave to dry before driving ;-)

I used to use megs endurnce - good product but expensive and can be messy.

Now use car plan tyre slik - 5 Litres brush on with paint brush £13.49 halfords.
A little really does go a very long way, can probably dillute it as it is Trade valet range, but I've not tried this yet.

Seems to last longer than other products I've tried.

Got it on 3 for 2 with
CarPlan Trade Hi-Wax Rinse 5L - Excellent results
CarPlan Trade Crystal Glass 5L - not tried yet

Tried many tyre dressings over the years, using Meguirs now. Just use a small sponge it lasts for ages and on the tyres too, so not expensive in use.

Also brings up nicely the plastic bits, engine cover etc in the engine bay. Use sparingly then buff up..its brilliant. Amazons a good price, cheaper than Halfords

+1 for meguiars endurance tyre gel, have used many products over the years, including tyre foams etc, and this stands out as one of the best value and least deteriorating products

I use Auto Finesse Satin Tyre Gel ( 500ml £9.95 online auction). I like this as you can 'adjust' the sheen by the amount of coats you put on (use a small sponge). I find just one coat gives an authentic "new tyre" look. Manufacture's blurb states that it lasts around three weeks of typical British weather!

I might be old fashioned but I hate tyre dressing as most make the tyres shinny where as a new tyre is matt.

My favourite trick is to use black show polish applied with a shoe brush. It's harmless to the tyre and makes tyres look uniform and much better.

Give it a try.

I got a tin from poundland yesterday , all 4 tyres now all shiney . :-)

I also use shoe polish, cheap and cheerful, you can do your shoes at the same time :D
