TYRES DILEMA

Gunk can and a pump for emergencies. My old cls55 was always NRF with no spare and came from the factory with can of sealant and a pump. In 6 years had 4 flats . all but one due to cracked soft as butter AMG inside rims.
On the tyre front I would take whatever the latest NRF Goodyears you can get. I have found them to be the quietest and most comfortable tyre, with good mileage as you say and no noticeable difference in handling over Contis, Pirrelis and Michelin. Just my opinion having tried them all across w211, w219 and w218 platforms
Those AMG rims bend like bananas

Hi , well the Assy 5 Goodyear's on my C207 are superb.Even in the wet the car holds the road well and does not roll.

Unbelievable tyre
I have to agree. During the short time I had them on my E63, the grip they gave in damp conditions was very good.
I'm comparing them to Pirelli P-Zero's which were poor.

So washed the car last week and noticed a small bulge on front nearside tyre, can’t recall hitting a pot hole, have been ever so careful since I got new tyres and refurbished all four alloys.

So will have to purchase a new MPS4S tyre 😡, the joys of owning a car I guess.

And too noisy. !!

Buy the newest tyres you can. Newer models are newer for a reason.

I would also consider michelin pilot sport 5's as mentioned have a look at ats euromaster

My EV is on a 4-year lease, including servicing and tyres. Boring.... 😴 I really used to have fun researching, comparing, choosing, and buying tyres. Am I mad?

The cheapest place i have found so far to source are ATS euromaster. They are actually owned by Michelin so you can get Michelin's at a brilliant price.
Thanks, but at the time Kwik Fit had the best price, out of all the suppliers, they had a discount for buying all four tyres.

Im trying Michelin Cross climates after 30k with Goodyear Assy 5`s. Just as good & maybe a tad quieter plus they maybe better in winter. Soon find out as its snowing & my E was bloody useless in it last year:)

I put 2 on my e350 and today it was marvellous in snow 6 inches deep. Normally I'd go no where .

I have just gone the other way. I have changed my old Michelins for a set of four Goodyear Asymmetrics my decision was purely price driven. To be honest so far I havn't really noticed any difference, I have only done about 20 miles or so on them so too early to make a judgement. I do feel that the Asymmetrics are a little quieter though :)
