Thanks, you have 2 things to try

a) Try buying from Mercedes this firmware CD
W211 589 13 22 00
It may or may not work.
You must hold down keys 1,3,8 and then insert the disk.

b) If not, you need to replace the head unit (COMAND) - but your car has television in it, so you need one with Video input, which are hard to find.

Sorry, that does not translate properly.

You should try and buy the disk W211 589 13 22 00 from the Mercedes Kuwait.

If that does not fix it, you must put a new COMAND.

Not a company I would do business with.

Please don't do firmware updates with copied disks.

They have a lower 'reflective' ability compared to an "original" CD and are thus harder for the COMAND to read.

And you really really don't want a cd read error in the middle of a firmware update, unless you want to kill your unit.
