Hi All,

My headlight levelling switch is not working on my 05 C180-S203 which is a bit worrying on these dark mornings. I suspect its something to do with the vacuum pipes so I've had a good delve round the engine bay and the two purple pipes are connected to the headlamp cluster okay but then I found this pipe and have no idea where it connects to. Can Anyone let me know if its anything to do with my headlights and more importantly where it connects to? Any info would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave H

check the link on the anti roll bar to the sensor - its in the o/s/f/ wheel arch turn the wheel full lock to the right and you will see it.

Thanks Stability, Makes a lot of sense as the plastic inner wheel arch fell off recently and this may have come off then.

Hi Guy's, its me again.

I'm sorry to bother you all again but I'm still trying to find where this pipe connects to. I've looked on the off side as previously suggested but the pipe comes from the nearside and I cant see anywhere to suggest where it comes from and goes to.

Ive also still got the same problem with the headlight adjuster switch not working as well. Ive looked at all the headlight vac pipes and they seem to be all there, Could this problem be connected with this mystery pipe?

Appreciate any help on this as it has me completely baffled and cant find any info in any workshop manual I have.

Thanks in advance

Dave H

I know exactly where that goes.
Just behind the throttle body on the inlet manifold there is a small spigot that it fits onto. Check the tubing is okay with no splits in it. It is the vacuum feed for the headlights.
