I have a 1995 Mercedes E220 Auto (W124) with just under 54,000 genuine miles on it.

Where is the best place to take it to be valued w?ith a view to selling it privately?

Alternatively, are there any dealers who specialise in buying W124s who won't rip me off?

MTSV have several 124s at present so you may be able to get some idea of price from the site.

Just had a look. All of those look than mine cosmetically, but the mileage is almost 3 times more (e.g same year and model as mine but with nearly 90k more on the clock £3895). I'm not looking for anywhere near that, so I might get what I'm looking for anything like that.

w124 co uk, charles ironside, avantgarde, cheshire classic benz etc, all may be interested in it.

to sell it privatly, just stick it on ebay with a reserve detailing its qualities, present it like the places above do in respect to photos etc, and it should fetch a decent price. you'll never get what the above sell the cars for since they are for sale with the provenance of the dealers having brought it up to scratch, warranty etc etc.

Depends also on what it is saloon-- coupe -- estate--- cabriolet? W124'S in same condition would be valued roughly in that ascending order. Spec helps also nice metallic-- auto -leather --and A/C etc
