very cold this climate control

Just bought a 2 year old w204 - thrilled to bits !
Been making my way through the manual and I confess that the dual zone climate control has me puzzled.
I have set for 22deg/auto/AC but for easily 10 mins after starting the rather noisy blower is sending (uncomfortable) cold air out.
Am I doing something wrong ??

Is it a diesel? What is the usual engine running temp?

Diesels take a lot longer to reach normal operating temperature than petrol engines.
Temperature gauge should be around 80º or above, when warmed up. Do you have both zones set for 22º?
