Hi All

I have a Viseeo MB2 in my W203 C32 which pairs perfectly with my iPhone 3GS... once. After the ignition has been turned off, it very rarely subsequently connects, with the COMMAND screen showing simply "NOT PLUGGED IN". However, sometimes it does connect and work normally - this afternoon it connected properly with the key at position 1 but once I started the engine the connection had been dropped again. I haven't yet worked out the rhyme or reason to it. Usually however I end up forgetting the pairing on the iPhone and going through the pair process again.

I have driven a 40 minute journey without it connecting so I don't think it's a case of "give it time".

The MB2 is on the latest CPU and bluetooth firmware.

Any advice appreciated!

cheers

Do the lights flash in sequence when its failing to connect ? (I.e is the car actually powering up the MB2)

Give the contacts/connector a good clean between the Viseeo & the UHI plug. Ensure that the Viseeo is pushed home hard and locked in.

I have had similar issues with the interchangeable cradle for a Nokia phone. To sort it I used to turn off comand and reinsert the cradle on the connector. Its probably the contacts. Got a used cradle off e-bay and it has been fine since.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I will give them a go tomorrow in the light - however I doubt it is the unit contacts, because my fix - which always works (but only in the first instance) - is to tell my iPhone to forget the connection and then go through the pair process again, which can be done without touching the MB2. This gets the phone working again without touching the MB2, but again after the ignition has been switched off it usually won't reconnect again.

I've also tried a master reset of the MB2 today which may help - will update here if that solves it

This may sound strange ,but do 2 master resets of the MB2 after ensuring it has the latest firmware. It should end up in the position where it powers up and goes almost immediately into pairing mode.

Then pair ...

Well after a few days the single reset seems to have done the trick - so I haven't dared mess with it by doing 2 resets, but I'll remember that in case it goes awry again!

Thanks for your help folks.
