If any of the East Coast Dereks would like to be chauffeur driven through, I can swing past the bypass, up the M90 before hitting Bathgate (1 Derek to look after the oily bits, 1 to weld anything thats falls off and 1 to dismantle the dasboard should the need arise)
Joking apart, the offer is there, rather than driving 4 cars through, I don't mind.

Surely the point would be to have as many cars ( Mercedes ) as possible.

anyone know if i will make 7pm when coming from centre of edinburgh from earliest 5:30 ??? i dont know the state of rush hour around the route...

just need to know if i should leave work earlier or not....

Might take a while to get through Gogar roundabout, A8 and the Newbridge roundabout. I have sat for 1/2 an hour between Gogar and Ratho Station many a time (approx. 3 miles). The M8 to Livingston might be a bit busy too.

If the drive across from Edinburgh during rush hour is going to be a bit risky , time wise , you could always come over on the train , which I think does it comfortably in an hour or so . Once you get off the train at Glasgow Queen St , hop into the adjacent underground station in Buchanan St , and take the underground to Govan station ( 10 or 15 mins travel time ) . Anyone who needs picked up at Govan underground let me know , it is only a couple of minutes from the RPU in the car .

what time do you plan on leaving edinburgh? maybe i could meet you somewhere before and we can go in the same car - yours or mine, i dont mind.... i can leave work early that day if needed otherwise i usually leave at 5:30 and i'm at waverly station.

i'd rather not go by train as i can see myself getting it all messed up lol and by experience trains always seem to be delayed or break down and i miss connections!!

I'm on holiday that week:bannana:...I'll be leaving from the east side of Edinburgh, hence the offer of a lift to the three Dereks. If del320 or Druk want a lift, the offer is still there. Whatever time suits you? Don't know if you want a bite to eat beforehand seeing as you will miss your evening meal.
