Hi all
newbie so if i've posted in the wrong section mods please move

My exhaust has split just before the second cat and ive been quoted daft proces for a new front half

MB Commercial £750 front half £195 back half
Local Inde (Bosal exhaust ) £405 Front £95 Back

Are these prices good????

Have loocked at the bosal site and found a exhaust listed but it has only one cat on it will this be enough or do i need both cats????

Would i be cheaper to get a custom stainless exhaust built with a lifetime owners warranty on it like a powerflow one???????

all help will be most appreciated

You don't NEED any cats on a diesel, but they do clean up the emissions a bit so are a good thing really.

They are simple 2 way oxydisation cats, not more complicated 3 way cats found on petrol engines.

Try Leisureshack for supply of Bosal.

Just rememember Bosa;l products are no where near as good as the gen item

I wouldn't agree here. I've not had any issue with Bosal products and they are one of the premium aftermarket suppliers.
The only other one I would use would be Walker.

Both Bosal and Walker (Tenneco) manufacture for OEM as well as aftermarket.

Why do you need the twin cat version? You don't have to have a cat at all.

Thats what they want to fit because thats whats fitted just now

Thanks for this info

Phoned my local powerflow dealer and he told me the same thing
so going along tomorrow for a quote

Thanks everyone :) :) :)

Remember to tell your insurers if what you fit is different to what the van has on it now ...

Dropped the vito off to get the new exhaust fitted
All stainless steel powerflow
pics when its done on monday
