How is it my vito 120 08 plate doesnt have a range option on the display between the clocks but my mates 120 10 plate (same model) does have?

My '57 120 doesn't have 'range' on the cluster display either. Is your mate's a 2010 facelift model? If so it may have been added then.

My 08 Vito 120 didn't have the range facility until I upgraded to a Hi Line cluster. That involved changing the steering wheel airbag to enable the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel. Our members Zenman and Big Un are the kings of Vito modding on here, so with a little luck, they might see this thread. :thumb:

Hmm ... I've got the factory multi-function steering wheel (and phone wiring, CD changer, etc.) on mine. No range on the display though. Would be very useful on our trips to Germany.

I'm pretty sure you have the Hi Line cluster, Bill. If you have the cluster and the multi-function buttons, then surely it's there somewhere?
My clocks were basic (don't even think outside temperature was available) but Temp and Range were there as soon as the cluster was fitted.
It was a main dealer (Enza) that fitted the airbag, coil spring and cluster (although they couldn't wind the mileage forward!) and (although I'm guessing) I don't recall any use of STAR to facilitate the extra features on the cluster.

It's the panel with chrome rings round the dials. It's got engine temp and outside temp available.

Range definitely isn't there - we have a C Class from the same year with very similar menus and that does have it. I might get in touch with Alfie as command.co.uk are just down the road from me ... they would probably know what's going on!

That's the right cluster. Maybe it is a coding thing after all, but I can't think why it wouldn't be there form day one.

Hello, I've got it on mine not surprising!! It's a coding thing as far as I remember great feature to have..

If im not posting, then im retro fitting!! MBClub UK

Our vans are exactly the same spec both x sports. His is 2010 but not facelift

exact same dials ect... when he has the trip details up if he press's the up arrow twice it goes to range.

so could any merc place code this in?
