Vodafone launch mclaren mercedes handset

Don't think we're getting them here - the 770 is already off our retail lists as an old product. I know the drivers were "displaying" them at the Mclaren launch in Valencia at the end of January.

As far as I'm aware, they're mainly being marketed in Portugal, and also possibly in Germany.

Isn't it a bit 'berkish' to have that on the side of a phone. It's up there with my dad wearing a Ferrari T-shirt...he drives a Ford. How about other suggestions for pointless brand marketing? The Mercedes-Benz oven glove "because its too hot to handle" kerrchinggggg.

Probably, but if there's money to be had by flogging it to the public, so be it!

Looks like this country is getting a McMerc branded Samsung Z720 instead.

Must admit - I think it looks naff

I wait for the 722 version, it will connect to a call 2secs faster than the standard version, :)

oi , ive got a ferrari teeshirt , and a ferrari mug too !!

I work for Vodafone but I've never seen that phone livery before...doh
People always assume I know what phone / tariff is best but to be frank I'm probably the worst person to ask that question as I spend most of my time stuck in the field or roof top of buildings fixing radio base station..embarrassing I know. You know what t-shirt I will be wearing soon :)

I generally get asked that question too...unfortunately I have no excuse as I work as a tariff analyst!

I'm not sure that was the wisest thing you have ever put in a post....

My wife does not voice much, likes to text on alternate days of the week, never uses the phone on days which match a primary number and likes the colour yellow. Which tariff is best....

:bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

Of course, I am only teasing

:D

The irony of it all is that systems analyst would be closer to my true job role. I spend most of my time programming and implementing the tariffs in the billing systems, and leave all the planning to the rest of the team.
