Yes. That's what I want it to look like. Fantastic.

Maybe in dark blue to match the dash/carpets, with some cream/white piping.

There is a complete W123 leather interior on Ebay.de, but the colour is completely wrong (beige) and the seller wont ship.

With new steering wheel

With new wheel and stereo. :) I think they're an improvement.

Still trying to resist the urge to retrim. Too many other things to do first.

I tried white piping... it didnt work and so I had it retrimmed again above.

I see what you mean. The black with black piping looks right. I'm not sure what colour because my dash, door cards and carpets are blue. But the roof lining is a much lighter colour.

Thanks for that page. Where does it come from?

The chrome is in good condition. But the glass is tarnished, and the mirror unit is covered in what looks like a handpainted thick black paint.Like a poor attempt to repair it.:(

These are the same mirror glasses as a 107. As per standard on Merc the passenger side is convex and the drivers flat. The opposite applies to a LHD car. With a bit of research it's possible to obtain a new passenger LHD mirror which fits the RHD drivers side and you get a much better field of view.

Some work for the weekend. :)

Also got a better condition second hand offside wing mirror on the way, and me pressed metal number plates.

But not been successful so far with: -

Finding a front armrest
Finding some decent condition hubcaps
Finding a nearside electric mirror
Finding an undamaged roof lining
Swapping out the rheostat
Doing something about the right hand indicator (it wont cancel)

Still got some surface paint / rust issues to resolve and then it's on to the retrim wish list.

Hi

I'm interested in buying a W123 model Mercedes 240D or maybe a 300D to use as a daily driver.

Could anyone point me in the direction of one in good condition?

Thanks

Brendan
